Jay Flaster
Oh, hello!
Let's learn a little about Jay.
Jay Flaster is a professional visual content creator with over 25 years of live production, post-production and motion graphics creation experience. His work has been broadcast worldwide on network and cable television, along with thousands of professional sports events, and internal corporate communications. After receiving a BA in Communication Arts / Television Production from Hofstra University, Jay worked at several high-profile NYC post houses as an Assistant Video Editor and Graphic Designer specializing in commercial video post-production. He was a pioneer in advancing the adoption of desktop video software tools that were beginning to displace legacy analog and optical video machines, which were quickly becoming antiques in the late 1990’s. Those early years working in midtown, the heart of the New York advertising industry, is where he learned effective visual communication skills, post-production industry best-practices, and the complexities of broadcast technical standards.
Jay went on to become Creative Director for ANC Sports, a Westchester-based sports marketing agency, where he was responsible for generating in-venue video content for dozens of professional and college teams. Building on his early efforts of learning new methods and leveraging the best technologies available for the task, Jay developed production processes and operating procedures to ensure that his five-person creative team would successfully deliver hundreds of pieces of content every single week to teams across the continent. Through the early 2000’s, while managing remote employees and client relationships, Jay honed his ability to effectively collaborate on multiple creative projects regardless of his team member’s location. He led a virtual design department and was a WFH employee for many years, way before it became remotely fashionable.
Jay is also a founding member of Arenamation, a boutique creative firm specializing in the creation of motion graphics for sports. Over the last decade he has managed creative projects across multiple leagues while promoting modern workflows that enable creative professionals to work productively together, remotely. Jay has also formerly collaborated with the strategic design and production agency Haystack Needle, to lead internal and external-facing PR projects which showcased persuasive storytelling through motion graphics.
During the COVID years, Jay began focusing his cumulative technical and creative skills on creating professional broadcast-style content for companies and non-profit organizations, enabling them to connect and interact with their audience in novel ways. Broadcasting well-produced and engaging livestreams, along with generating impactful, informational video content that connects people to one another became the priority in that age of physical distancing. Ingenious Solutions was born out of the idea of empowering clients to find their organization’s voice, and then being able to transmit it to the world. Jay’s unique ability to formulate detailed solutions and overcome complex creative and technical challenges enabled him to facilitate the production process, educate his clients, and build the technical foundation required to get their creative messaging out.
Recently, Jay has cultivated close relationships with performing arts organizations, various non-profits, small businesses and religious institutions to assist them in crafting professional, impactful photographic and video promotional materials. This latest extension of his creative roles has truly elevated the range of services he can offer, from initial concept to completion and final trafficking. His atypical synergy of being able to strategize, pre-visualize, shoot, edit and professionally finish an array of visual assets has enabled Jay to generate the highest-quality deliverables across a myriad of media.
Because it really is so much more than simply delivering pics or video clips, it’s all about the visuals. 🤙
